2d9. Other Comments (continued):
It is a very busy traffic area & a lot of kids & adults walk up & down & the sidewalk's end just past
Deep Water Inn.
Greater police presence & speed traps
Property tax rate ridiculous for lack of services received.
Fire chief "wants" big city $$ stuff - does not have ___ for only 3,000 tax paying residents.
Especially in am, coming in from south is awful.
Encourage new living rate jobs & business, not clerks positions
Downtown can really smell
Don't let PSU take away High Street or make it a one-way street.
Causes huge burden on property owners.
Always a problem in this area for people who don't drive. All property within the town should be
taxable including social service agency, churches & university
A community the size of Plymouth should have a community or regional "recreation center"
I use 3,000 gallons @ 1/4 and resent being billed for 10,000. I'm billed for 40,000 gallons per
annum & use 12,000.
The general town wide feelings of apathy or frustration that PSU is running the town has gone on
for years. I expect it will continue.
We need additional shopping facilities (Target, TJ Max, Market Basket)
We have to get the tax rate under control!
We have noise from students from 6pm-5am in our neighborhood
from Sept-May. Then the
construction noise from the college facilities Mon-Sat 6am-late afternoon.
WalMart needs competition. It is poorly managed and it's unclean.
We do most shopping in Tilton because Plymouth can't offer similar goods at similar prices.
University not paying their share is still at the top of the list.
University is not paying a fair share of costs.
Town managers spend too much (taxes)
People more likely to recycle if it were picked up. Fines for people not recycling (they cost town)
There are no affordable department stores
Plymouth needs fresh blood on the committees. I appreciate all the "townies" have done, but I think
their view is distorted & needs fresh perspective.
Taxes are a problem for seniors on fixed income.
Tax rate much too high for non-services that you don't receive
Should be banned or noise enforced.
Seniors have senior center that deals w/ mental health. There's a child facility so they have
somewhere to go but there is nothing for adults (21-50) to meet other people w/ mental health
issues. B/c only a person with a MI can understand one another i.e. AA
School should be training students for entry-level positions. No business depart. at high school
Road conditions are poor & dangerous for the amount of traffic and speed.
Regional community center, fee-based (not membership) with indoor recreational opportunities for
all age groups.
Why didn't WalMart & the over $4 million Common Man Inn drop our tax rates instead of you raising
them?
There is no sidewalk on Merrill St. to public school.
