3b 9 Improved Public Transportation (40 comments)
More frequent bus service would be nice. Bus service is poor. Bus service to outlying shopping,
maybe with a parking area on the flat between the armory & the bridge. Local shuttles to Tilton.
When PSU is not in session, there are fewer bus runs available. Bus service to Laconia & local
areas. Better coordination with PSU shuttle. Mini bus to WalMart, Hatch Plaza. More bus service
for an everyday commutes. More public transportation. Bus service around town needed. Free
shuttle services for everyone. Plymouth needs affordable public transportation. (16)
Need more taxis. Taxi is frequently unavailable. Taxi service is undependable. Would like taxi
service increased. Reliable in-town taxi service & service to Manchester Airport (5)
Need a better bus service to Concord & Boston. Public transportation to & from Health South
rehab, Concord Would like better public trans. N & S on I-93 Transportation to Manchester & Logan
airports hourly & affordable (4)
Even if it means raising taxes, I would like to see our town streets improved. I hope the Taylor
community or someone similar comes to Plymouth. Road maintenance generally good, but some
rough spots. (2)
Lower taxi rates. Taxi service is too costly. (2)
Lack of transportation to Laconia is problem. In 9/02, I tried in vain to find a ride to Laconia to look
at a car. When I called Lakes Region Sr. Bus I could have a ride to LR Hospital if I could get to the
PO early enough in the am then I would have had to walk to look at the car…(2)

Improved for the elderly
Except for the Concord Trailways, we don't see any other public transportation.
Lack of public transportation has me thinking I don't want to be "older" or elderly long winters & no
public transportation bothers me.
What bus service, is in town?
Didn't know we had them.
5-8 mile bike path needed-multi-use! Walking, x-c skiing, family biking could become a tourist
attraction
Better use of inter-city busing & taxi
