3b 10 Improved Schools (13 comments)
High school overcrowded, unhappy w/ admin., HS facility is too small; need a soccer field (3)
Budget out-of-balance with taxpayers' ability to support. Costs too high. (2)
Don't deliver value for their cost.
Paying a high price for dumb downed education!
I know of persons who were not taught to read, yet graduated. The school failed to do its job.
Removal of the interferences & cost of "non-academic" course activity offerings, especially ones
that offer few students opportunities.
Retired should not have to pay school taxes. Lower tax rate for 62+
School system is not what it could/should be.
Regional HS - school has major problems. It's too big - kids aren't getting individual attention
needed.
I'd like to see more academic rigor at high school.
3b 11a Improved Library (10 comments)
Great facility. Wonderful. Excellent job w/ resources. (3)
Library should be better funded. Should have more money for books. (2)
Library badly needs expansion
Expansion of pleasure reading inventory, public child activities
More hours for library - Sat. in summer
Not needed, could have used college library
Town should have full access to PSU library (Keene State built Keene's public library)
3b 11b Improved Fire (10 comments)
Costs too high. Needs to be downsized to be at least at same level as other towns our size. Too
much cost for too little service. Too big for a small town. Too much town service for Town/All on
our dime. Cost keeps going up, university uses it most. (5)
Consolidate public safety complex. Service yes, facility no. New public safety complex. (2)
All they save are foundations. Reduce PD & FD responses for PSU - let them handle their own
Re-do fire & police (use sheriffs dept. like Keene)
Insufficient water supply in some areas & only one way of getting out of neighborhood.
