3b 11c Improved Law Enforcement (28 comments)
Cost keeps going up, university uses it most.  Too much cost for too little service. Too big for a
small town   Too many police for such a small town! Too big, way too much $$$. Too many officers
for a small town, get rid of some.  Costs too high. Needs to be downsized to be at least at same
level as other towns our size.  (8)
I'd like to see a police officer around Main Street more often.  More presence on Main St. especially
late evening.  A walking policeman on Main Street.  (3)
While I feel they do try, police lack effective ways to deal with the problem of student housing.
Enforcement of speed on "back roads": Texas Hill, New Hebron, Reservoir, Yeaton, etc. particularly
during evening hours Thurs. through Saturday.
Improvement
College needs to contribute more to our town police staff!
PSU law enforcement-should do their job on campus.
Police need to slow traffic down on back roads. Some streets need to be smoothed out. Town
needs to keep property on the tax maps & stop letting non-taxed entities acquire property-PSU in
particular.
Police need to enforce speed limit on back roads as well as noise from some cars & motorcycles.
Sometimes good, sometimes ridiculously overbearing with teens especially. For such a small town,
why can't cops be role models & involved instead of intent on making Plymouth a "police state?"
Ticketing policies (meters)
Very good
Keep college students out of residential neighborhood.
Reduce PD & FD responses for PSU - let them handle their own
Re-do fire & police (use sheriffs dept. like Keene)
Police need more presence in neighborhoods & downtown - need more help from college for
enforcement of noise
No need to pursue a public safety complex.
Service yes, facility no. New public safety complex.
