Restaurants
Coffee shop type restaurants, e.g. Cracker Barrel, Dennys, Perkins.
We have fast food and a couple "upscale"- nothing in between. Lack
of decent restaurants

Retail
Distance from major centers/stores & variety. More clothing
stores/retail would be beneficial. Not enough retail. Have to travel to
other towns. Walmart

Roads
Excessive speed on roads. More town road paved. Plowing of side
roads. Poor quality of roads - potholes. Road repairs needed.
Sidewalk snow removal into private lawns. Sidewalks don't extend far
enough up Highland. Smith Bridge Rd/Rte 25 intersection. Speeding
traffic on our local roads. Too few E-W traffic flow routes.

Safety
Crime (theft - vandalism -drugs - alcohol). Growth of police & fire
dept. Inadequate fire protection on rural roads without town water!!
Lack of services and trained personnel. Our fire chief.

Social
Lack of response by campus police to keep off campus students
within reasonable control, public school system, "Old Boy Network,"
Dog running loose all over the neighborhoods, Drunk students, Lack
of control of college students by college & sororities/fraternities off
campus, Motorcycle week, Worries about college student uprisings

Tax
College cost sharing, Disproportionate sharing of costs by PSU,
Failure to increase the tax base, High taxes - college free, Loss of
taxable property, Tax rate too high, Taxes in Plymouth are among the
highest in NH. People will move out.

Transportation Lack of public transportation, Lack of school bus service/retail service
choices, Parking in general, Public transportation & removal of
property from tax role

Zoning
Town regs. & adverse rulings on new business coming to town such
as the hoops WalMart had to go through, TMH zoning, Zoning
regulations need to be better enforced
