3b 11d Improved Road (74 comments)
Snow removal is often very slow, esp. on back roads. Snow removal is terrible. Roads need
revisiting after initial plowing. Snow removal of sidewalks into driveways & lawns. Better plowing.
Clear streets at night after storms not during commute hours. No coordination with street & sidewalk
removal of snow. It is unacceptable in terms of snow removal. Some streets are impassable for two
cars. They need to push banks back continuously to keep roads passable as snow continues to
build up. They wait or don't push back & after it ices over it's too late. Awful! More prompt and better
snow removal. Plowing in Plymouth is worst I've ever seen in 30 years of living in New England.
They never clean the roads down to the pavement. Ice & snow build up & the roads are
treacherous, Cummings St. is usually very bad in winter. Limited plowing of Broadway/Pleasant St
area, leaving 1' ice ridges in major avenues. Adjacent roads also horrible especially hilly areas N of
Pleasant/Broadway intersection. Need better plowing - downtown is abysmal. Okay, but could be a
bit more timely downtown plowing needs improvement. Lack of snow removal on residential street
in a timely fashion causes them to become too narrow in Feb & March. (21)
Poor road maintenance. Road maintenance needs work. Road surfacing & paving. Road
maintenance is horrible. Better road maintenance especially school road and side roads. Roads
along Pleasant Street maintained better. Keep ahead of bad road problems. Road maintenance is
way behind - bumps, holes, etc (15)
Highland Street from Burger King to Langdon is AWFUL! Highland St condition poor for 20+ years.
Highland St/Langdon St pavement. Road repairs – Highland St! Highland Street to Rte 25 is very
poorly surfaced. Highland, past high school to Hannaford (high traffic, bad pot holes, added noise)
Streets are full of holes, esp. Highland St. Highland St needs improvement-the stretch toward
Hannaford that was not part of the recent revitalization. There are still some very poor roads - e.g.
Highland-west is a disgrace. (11)
Road repair - Merrill is rough. Some are okay, but some are really terrible. Road repair is poor.
Repair more frequently. Road maintenance is way behind - bumps, holes, etc. (8)

Sunrise Circle needs to be blacktopped. Pave Sunrise Circle! (2)

The end of Cummings Hill Rd (Rte 3 end) sucks! The culvert needs to be replaced.
Given the budget, I'm satisfied. Given the needed work, I'm not.
Roads are too narrow for bicycle traffic or jogging.
Some long existing roads have never been paved (while newer ones do) even though the paving
has been requested numerous times.
Fix street drainage
Highland St, Green St. need paving, often late May or June before sand is removed from same
streets
Except for broken beer bottles left by students in areas of Russell & Pleasant St consistently Thurs-

It would be great to have Bell Rd paved!
Improved streets - too many potholes, poor drainage in some locations
