3b 11j Improved Lighting (comments)
Conversion to "Dark Skies." Too much nighttime light. Need to reduce "glow" from street lighting
especially downtown. Would prefer downward lighting to return night sky. Blinds drivers plus sky
light pollution. Light pollution should be addressed. (6)
Downtown lights are very dim. Main Street - too dark. Street lighting may be pretty but I am scared
when I drive Main St in town block for fear of hitting a pedestrian I do not see. Downtown very dark
needs immediate improvement. Lights on Main Street need to be more bright on rainy nigh it is
hard to see. Downtown lighting is too dark. (6)
Better & more street lighting
Fox Park area should be better lighted
Highland St - terrible glare.
Need to improve lighting @ PSU crosswalks (evening)
More lighting on streets even "rural" ones. Streets should have better lighting. (2)
Especially bright lights on Tenney Mtn Hwy
Finances of local, public entities/government
Reduce street lighting - save money
Down Highland hill toward Hatch Plaza
Placement of streetlights shouldn't be directly into any particular house.
The lighting at the Highland pedestrian crosswalk is atrocious! We need a traffic light @ Highland &
Reservoir.
PSU should help pay for off-campus residential areas.
3b 12 Improved Other (13 comments)
Improvement to the exterior of some of the store fronts on Main St.
Town service - too many chiefs bossing the Indian.
Upgrade Town Common with water, sod, etc.
Public health problems are not items which the Selectmen will deal with. They allow trash to
accumulate in yards, causing rodents, and refuse to deal with the situation.
Change cable service contract to one with a solvent company (get rid of Adelphia who have no
plans or resources to expand) I want broadband Internet & cable & phone options.
To get people off the roads.
Hope to have waterfront beautified town beach on Loon Lake.
Housing not available at affordable costs.
We should have a TJ Maxx or Marshalls to bring better clothing into the area.
Hardware store employees dumb & lazy
Very disappointed-gas stations/prices - gas gouging nearby towns at least $.10 cheaper!
Tax rate
Commercial development on Highland St & on periphery of PSU campus is unnecessarily stunted.
